Brain Injuries Sustained in a Car Accident and the Possible Effects

Brain Injuries Sustained in a Car Accident and the Possible Effects

If you have sustained a head injury in a car accident you may have also damaged the cells in your brain. Whether you are a driver or a passenger, a car accident can result in different types of brain injuries. Accredited brain injury lawyer, and claims specialist, Malcolm Underhill, discusses the 3 most common head and brain injuries which result from a car accident. If you or a loved one has sustained a serious head or brain injury following a car accident, you could be entitled to compensation which would provide long-term medical and psychological support, therapies and home adaptations as well as access to brain injury rehabilitation programmes. For advice on making a brain injury compensation claim please see: http://www.ibblaw.co.uk/service/personal-injury-and-clinical-negligence/complex-head-brain-and-spinal-injuries For advice on making a compensation claim for an acquired brain injury please see: http://www.ibblaw.co.uk/service/personal-injury-and-clinical-negligence/acquired-brain-injury-compensation-claims The effects of a serious brain injury could affect all areas of your life. This could include mobility problems, cognitive difficulties such as memory loss, sensory impairment (such hearing and vision problems) and the inability to make decisions. Brain injuries could also result in personality changes - and a victim of a car accident could experience an increase in aggression, violence or they may experience uncharacteristic inhibition - eg. sexually.
